This song was written and recorded in just under 3 hours as part of a songwriting challenge from a local radio DJ on January 28, 2010.
That morning, two crows met a tragic fate when they crawled into an electrical transformer and were electrocuted, causing a
power outages in parts of Humboldt County. The DJ on KHUM invited local songwriters to compose a song; "something romantic
and poetic" under the premise that crows mate for life, and submit it by the end of his show. This is what came out....
